      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts (7-7), every other weekend, holidays required as well.
      • Floating policy: All nurses float to other units as needed.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit Name: 4 South, located in the South Tower on the 4th floor.
        • Number of Beds: 36
        • Patient Ratios: 1:6
        • Unit staffing description: 2 unit secretaries 0600-2200 daily. Patient care techs utilized at all times with fluctuating amount and ratio depending on census.
        • Type of equipment: Telemetry for each room with monitors in the stations, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner.
        • Documentation system: Meditech
        • Patient Experience requirements include hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, AIDET.
        • Procedures performed on unit: PICC line removal, vas cath/temp cath removal.
        • Dress Code: Ceil Blue Scrubs required.
        • Hospital Specifics: Pathways to Excellence Certified, Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Level II Trauma Center.
        • Awards/Recognition: HCA Unit of Distinction winner, High Employee Engagement Scores, Quality and Core Measures highly maintained, many nurses are nationally certified, including unit manager.
        • Highly experienced staff with an advanced call light system, self-scheduling within guidelines.
